What you are actually paying for
The unit is a published article. BoltSEO reads your website, works out what your business does, finds keywords you can realistically rank for, writes the article in your brand voice, adds internal links to your existing pages, and pushes it to WordPress, Shopify or Webflow on a schedule you set.
That is the whole loop. There is no separate charge for keyword research, no per-seat licence, and no setup fee. If you never publish, the free plan costs nothing indefinitely — there is no trial clock running in the background.
How to pick a plan
Free is for finding out whether the writing is good enough for your name to sit on it. Three articles a month is roughly a quarter of testing before you commit to anything.
Growth is the plan most small businesses settle on: twenty articles a month is enough to cover a topic properly rather than scattering one post across five subjects, and it unlocks automatic publishing so the loop runs without you.
Scale is for three sites, or for one site publishing hard enough that sixty articles a month is the constraint. Agency is for running this on behalf of clients — talk to us, because the shape depends on how many clients you have.

Pricing questions
Is the free plan really free?
Yes, and it stays free. Three articles a month, one website, no card required and no trial period that quietly ends. We would rather you find out the writing is good before paying for it.
What happens if I go over my article limit?
Nothing breaks and you are not charged an overage. You can either wait for the monthly reset or buy Bolts, which are one-off credits for extra articles and AI actions without changing your plan.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your account settings. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Do prices include VAT?
No. All prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout according to your country. Businesses with a valid EU VAT number are reverse-charged.
What does paying yearly save?
Two months. Paying yearly costs ten months' worth for twelve months of service on both the Growth and Scale plans.
Do I own the articles BoltSEO writes?
Yes. Everything published to your site is yours, including after you cancel. We do not retain any right to the content and nothing is removed if you leave.
