Local SEO

Local SEO for small businesses that do the work themselves

Local service businesses do better on Google than most owners think. In our study of 5,953 live searches, at least one small business reached page one in 78% of local-service searches. BoltSEO writes and publishes the local articles that put your business among them.

Small local firms are already on page one

Google tends to reward the business that actually does the work in the area. In our study, small businesses held 31% of page-one places for local services, and for a search like "schlüsseldienst hannover" seven of the ten results were small local locksmiths. Locksmiths as a niche held 45%, cleaning companies 43%.

Your real competition is usually not a bigger firm. It is the directories, quote sites and platforms that rank about businesses like yours, and that take a large share of page one.

What local content looks like

Local searches combine a service with a place, a problem or a price: what a job costs in your region, what to do in an emergency, how to choose a provider. Pages that answer those questions specifically, for your area and in your customers' language, are what make a local business visible beyond its own name.

BoltSEO reads your website, finds those searches with live data for your market, writes the articles in your brand voice, links them to your service pages and publishes them to WordPress, Shopify or Ghost.

What this does not cover

Our study measured the ten organic results, not Google's map pack. Your Google Business Profile, reviews and opening hours matter a great deal for the map, and BoltSEO does not manage them. It covers the organic results below, where articles do the work.

What every article includes

Written for a local business, by default:

A local search people make

Chosen from live volume and difficulty data for your market.

Your voice

Learned from your own pages, so it sounds like you, not like an agency.

Links to your services

Internal links to the relevant pages on your site.

Published for you

To WordPress, Shopify or Ghost, after your review or automatically.
