Ghost is built for publishing, but the posts still have to be researched and written. BoltSEO finds the keywords, writes in your voice and publishes to Ghost through the Admin API, converted into Ghost's own editor format.
Keep Ghost for what it does best
Ghost gives you a fast, clean blog and newsletter in one. What it does not give you is a steady supply of articles that people are searching for. BoltSEO adds that: keyword research against live search data, articles in your brand voice, and internal links to what you have already published.
Posts arrive as native Ghost posts, so you can open them in the Ghost editor, adjust them and decide what to do with them, just like posts you wrote yourself.

Connect Ghost in three steps

Add a custom integration
In Ghost Admin, go to Settings → Integrations and add a custom integration called “BoltSEO”.

Copy the URL and key
Ghost shows an API URL and an Admin API key in the form id:secret. Copy both.

Add them in BoltSEO
Open Integrations, choose Ghost and paste the API URL and Admin API key. BoltSEO tests the connection straight away.
What arrives in Ghost
Each article is created as a published Ghost post.
Native Ghost post
The HTML is converted by Ghost into its own editor format, so the post is fully editable in Ghost.
Meta description and excerpt
The meta description is set for search results and reused as the post excerpt.
Keyword tag
The article's main keyword is added as a tag.
Internal links
Links to relevant posts and pages that already exist on your site.
Ghost questions
Does it work with Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted Ghost?
Yes, with both, as long as your Ghost setup allows custom integrations. Some Ghost(Pro) plans do not include them; self-hosted Ghost always does.
Will posts be sent to my newsletter subscribers?
No. BoltSEO publishes posts to your site only; it does not send them as a newsletter.
Can I edit posts in Ghost afterwards?
Yes. They are regular Ghost posts in Ghost's own format, so the Ghost editor works on them as usual.
How do I disconnect?
Remove the connection in BoltSEO, or delete the custom integration in Ghost Admin, which revokes the key immediately. Published posts stay on your site.
